Auction gifts
Questions, answered.
What kinds of gifts work best for the live auction?
Gift baskets and curated bundles, experiences such as dinners, stays, lessons or rounds of golf, signed, vintage and one-of-a-kind items, and services or gift certificates.
Does registering a gift commit me to anything?
No. Registering tells the team what is coming so the auction program can be built around it. Someone from the Harvest Wave team will contact you to arrange pickup or drop-off before the event.
Who benefits from the auction?
Every item goes on the block for Waves of Courage Inc., a Utah 501(c)(3) serving families facing terminal illness.
Is a donated item tax-deductible?
Waves of Courage Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) and provides a written acknowledgment for in-kind gifts. Whether and how much is deductible depends on the item and your situation — please consult your own tax advisor.
Should I include the story behind my item?
Please do. Vintage, signed and one-of-a-kind items get specialty consideration when the auction value is set, and the story is what raises the room.
